Recycling

Why does recycling seem so complicated? Our partnership work to increase the quality and quantity of recyclable materials investigates why people are confused and which current practices lead to poor recycling. Our work with King, Snohomish and Spokane counties also examines what is needed to boost confidence in local recycling programs and empower people to consistently Recycle Right®.

Food and
Yard Waste

When food and yard waste end up in landfills, greenhouse gases are created that warm our planet. By composting, we can reduce emissions and create nutrient-rich soil for healthy gardens.

Our innovative work around food and yard waste is reducing emissions by mobilizing people to compost in King and Snohomish counties.
